Malpighian tubules are thin tubes that are generally present in the posterior part of the alimentary canals of the arthropod. Every tubule has one layer of cells that is closed off at the distal terminal with the proximal terminal connecting the alimentary canal at the junction in between the hindgut and the midgut.
